Gettin' Little

Because of some prompting from Joanne I have decided to start up a fitness blog again. I didn't want to use my old one because I am not running this time. Running was just too hard on me and I was bad at it. I have been doing pretty good for the last month or so. I quit drinking pop, I have started exercising everyday, and I am trying to start up a strength training routine. I lost about 15 lbs last month but then it just kind of stalled so I have decided to not weigh myself for about a month to see how it is then. I know I am eating right because I am eating less processed food and making sure to count my calories and monitor my water intake so I am just going to rely on know I am doing everything right and hope my body figures that out. I made homemade broccoli beef tonight, it was pretty good. I was worried it would be worse. I have been trying to learn a little bit about cooking for reals and I think I am starting to learn some stuff so that is good. I do the elliptical each morning, I used to do it for 45 minutes but I have decided to switch it up to a harder program that is 60 minutes and burns a lot more calories. I have also started hiking on the weekends usually with a friend but I am going to have to go alone Saturday morning because there was no one to go with me. I am okay with that though because I will probably just listen to a book on tape or maybe music while I hike instead. I am kind of all over the place in this blog but it was a spur of the moment thing so I didn't really have anything planned out that I wanted to say. Enjoy! ;)

  1. Exciting!! I was wondering if you were back on a health kick from your recent posts on fb about not drinking pop anymore and seeing the pics from Indian Rock. Way to go, yo! I think that any kind of exercise that you enjoy doing is the one you should be doing, otherwise it won't get done. So good for you for trying new things! And that is great that you are changing up your eating habits, that is a big part of feeling healthier as well. Go Jillian!!
